Campaigns for Change

Mina Guli ran 200 marathons in a year to spotlight the global water crisis, rallying a movement across 202 countries and territories. Through community engagement, partnerships, and $70M+ in media coverage, #RunBlue proved that sustained action drives real change.

The #Fingerstickfree campaign in collaboration with Abbott, SA Diabetes Advocacy and Sweet Life, mobilised people living with Type 1 diabetes to secure coverage of continuous glucose monitoring devices by leading South African Medical Aid providers.

In partnership with The Power Futures lab, we successfully advocated for the unbundling of Eskom, with a campaign that secured the support of trade unions, policy-makers, media coverage, social media commentators, and a mention from the President in his state of the nation address.

Through our ADvocacy workshop with the Allergy Foundation of South Africa, we equipped people living with severe Atopic Dermatitis with the tools to advocate for better care and recognition of their condition.

As digital communications partner for Breathe Cities, an initiative delivered by Clean Air Fund, C40 Cities, and Bloomberg Philanthropies, we help drive awareness and action to reduce air pollution and climate emissions in urban centres globally.

UrbanBetter mobilised clean air and public health advocates to organise events across three African countries, gaining policy-maker support, extensive social media reach, and mainstream media coverage.

In collaboration with World Animal Protection, we mobilised people around the world including celebrities, scientists, activists, and families to get one of the world’s largest travel sites, Expedia, to stop promoting captive dolphin entertainment.

Regreening Africa, backed by the European Union and the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), restored one million acres of degraded land in Sub-Saharan Africa, integrating trees to boost soil fertility and farmers' livelihoods. We engaged farmers, created powerful storytelling content, and activated a global advocacy network to promote sustainable land management practices.

Through the #PrideNotCruelty campaign, we helped mobilise public pressure to push for an end to South Africa’s commercial captive lion breeding industry. Partnering with World Animal Protection and Blood Lions, we combined influencer outreach, creative activism, and precision advocacy to secure a landmark policy shift: the South African Cabinet approved a policy position to phase out captive lion breeding.

The 2030 ReadingPanel conference, was a gathering of hundreds of leaders across civil society, government, business, and academia. Working with former head of UN Women Dr Phumzile Mlambo-Nguka, we produced the conference, produced high quality content assets, and secured over 50 pieces of prominent media coverage.

Working closely with UN Patron of the Oceans, Lewis Pugh. We delivered narrative strategy, content production, and stakeholder mapping. The #Antarctica2020 campaign secured coverage on Sky News, BBC, Time and the Guardian - which contributed significantly to the creation of the world’s largest marine protected area, The Ross Sea.

Launched BI4Gov as an event, trended for two days nationwide, and was formalised into South Africa’s first dedicated Behavioural Insights unit.
